Information

Embedded systems pervade every aspect of life, frequently unnoticed by the end user while at the same time enabling new activities and improving a quality of life.
Interweaving microelectronics, computer science, communication technologies (particularly wireless ones) and focusing on applications in most varied sectors ranging from energy, medicine, agriculture, and environment is the essence of embedded systems technology offering particularly challenging and promising opportunities to researchers and designers of next generation systems.
This Workshop, honoring Prof. Mariagiovanna Sami, focuses on key challenges in embedded systems and features excellent presentations by some of the notable authorities in the field as well as a panel discussion on new model of education. The Advanced Learning and Research Institute will be presented, including visions and research directions of bringing it to the next decade, ALaRI's showcase with three unique projects and two success stories of ALaRI graduates.
Researchers and students interested in embedded systems and ALaRI alumni are especially welcomed.

We are looking forward to welcome you in Lugano!
