The ALaRI faculty members come from leading European universities and institutions such as ETH Zurich, EPF Lausanne, RWTH Aachen, KU-Leuven, Politecnico di Milano as well as from USI Faculty of Informatics that is ranked Number 3 in Switzerland.

The quality of education is assured by a truly outstanding faculty, strongly active at the international level where it contributed to major breakthroughs in both basic and applied research.

The faculty is internationally known, many faculty members taught at Universities around the world including Stanford, Carnegie –Mellon, University of Texas at Austin, University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, University College London, Humboldt University Berlin, Technical University Munich, University of Bonn, University of Saarland, Technical University of Vienna, Politecnico di Milano, Università di Bologna and Keio University. Several faculty members were guest scientists at the IBM Yorktown Heights, AT&T Bell Labs, Lucent Technologies, and Hewlett-Packard.

Collectively, the ALaRI faculty have published or edited over 65 books, have written over 5100 refereed papers, published in prestigious journals and top-ranked conference proceedings as well as numerous book chapters. Many faculty members are considered leaders and pioneers in their specific fields: they received over 25 international awards, served on editorial boards of top journals and have organized or chaired numerous international conferences.

This plethora of outstanding accomplishments guarantees high quality teaching as the students are continuously exposed to the state of the art, leading edge research and innovation in respective fields.
