Andreas Dittrich received his Diploma degree in Computer Engineering in 2008 from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and is currently completing his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering. He was co-organizer of the Forum on Fault-Tolerant Systems in 2011. Prior to that (2006 - 2008) he was a Lead Network Engineer at IT service provider "Planetary Networks", Berlin and a self-employed IT service provider focusing on consulting, planning, deployment and administration of corporate networks in 2001-2006. His research focus is on dependable systems, and more specifically on service network responsiveness, service availability, proactive fault management and stochastic modeling.
