The Workshop
Two-days AMWAS'08 Workshop: 8-9 October 2008.
Location: Aula Magna
University of Lugano (USI),
Via G. Buffi 13, 6900 Lugano, Switzerland.
The workshop will be highly interactive and engage participants in fruitful discussions on its topics. There is no registration fee for participants. To register go to Apply
It will feature keynote presentations as well as solicited papers, each of them to be presented by one of its authors. The duration of the presentation of each paper will be 20 minutes plus 10 minutes for discussions.
Authors shall submit an extended abstract of their presentation of about 1000 words to the Workshop Coordinator (Michel Huebner, huebner@itiv.uni-karlsruhe.de) no later then September 15th 2008.
Abstracts will be reviewed by the Program Committee and authors will be
notified of acceptance by September 20th 2008.
Workshop participants will have the presentation slides versions of the papers available at the moment of participants' registration on registration desk.
Keynote speakers of international renown, not belonging to the AETHER or MORPHEUS community (experts on the field), will give influential talks about their work and/or vision.
As closing session, a panel summarizing the outcome of the workshop and determining future activities has been also foreseen.
Call for papers
We expect the bulk of submission coming from the AETHER and MORPHEUS communities. We thus solicit papers from AETHER and MORPHEUS consortium partners. Extended abstracts (1000 words) should be sent to Michael Huebner (huebner@itiv.uni-karlsruhe.de) by September 15th.
Submitted papers will undergo the proper peer review.
Foreseen dates are:
- September 15: Submission deadline for extended abstract
- September 20: Finalized review and notification
- September 25: Camera ready paper submission
Participation
The Workshop attendance is free. It includes participation in all presentation and as well slide materials, welcome receptions and lunches and coffee breaks.
The free attendance don't cover the accomodation aggreement and travels.
